Spot welding of plates with different thicknesses is more difficult than that of ordinary thick plates. The weld nugget on one side of the thick plate is difficult to establish, because the thickness is large and the heat dissipation is fast. If the welding time is slightly longer, the breakdown phenomenon on the thin plate side will sometimes occur. Therefore, it is often easy to distinguish whether the spot welding machine is good or bad at this time. The following is a small series of science and technology.
If the welding is to be beautiful and firm, the energy storage spot welding machine or the intermediate frequency inverter spot welding machine can be used. The machine time control is microsecond, I .e. 1% of the power frequency. Such a short welding time can completely achieve perfect welding. Of course, the welding current is relatively more than 30% larger than that of the normal AC welding machine, which has very good effect.

If in order to save costs, you can also choose ordinary AC spot welding machine, but the controller must be microcomputer closed-loop control, constant current and constant voltage type, preferably secondary constant current, this effect is relatively good.
1. The position of the electrode rod should be adjusted before welding by the automatic spot welding machine, and the electrode arms should be kept parallel to each other when the electrode is just pressed to the weldment.
2. The switch series selection for current regulation can be selected according to the thickness and material of the weldment. After power on, the power indicator light should be on, the size of the electrode pressure can be adjusted by the pressure nut of the spring, and the degree of compression can be changed.
3. After the above adjustment is completed, the cooling water can be turned on first and then the power supply can be turned on to prepare for welding. The procedure of the welding process: the weldment is located between the two electrodes, step on the pedal, and make the upper electrode contact with the weldment to pressurize. When the pedal continues to be pressed, the power contact switch is turned on, so the transformer starts to work. The secondary circuit is energized to heat the weldment. When the pedal is released after welding for a certain period of time, the electrode rises, and the power supply is cut off first and then restored to its original state by the pulling force of the spring. The process of single point welding is over.
